A talk by human resource managers on employability and recruitment processes (for employment and industrial training) at their respective companies was conducted today at DK-B from 3 - 5 pm. Speakers were Mr. Abdul Rashid Abdul Majid of Chemical Company of Malaysia (CCM) and Mr. Abdul Malek Md. Nor of Shell People Services Asia. The talk emphasized the importance of a candidate's ability to effectively market themselves in today's increasingly competitive job market. Technical competency alone is not enough to secure a position; instead effective communication skills and critical thinking abilities are also equally if not more important.
