Had the plane all to myself (never thought I would ever be able to say that!). I was the only passenger on the flight.

Global Academia

Alhamdulilah...... in a span of few DAYS;

1) Fulfilled a request from Dr. Laura Richards who is visiting from the University of Manchester, UK to meet up. She wants to understand water quality and supply issues in Malaysia and explore potential areas for research collaboration. Meeting facilitated by Heriot Watt University.
2) My MSc attachment student, Mr. Junji Ato arrived from Hokkaidou University, Japan. He will be here for a couple of months to conduct research under my supervision.
3) Contacted by a one Ms. Stefanie from the United States. She is interested to co-author a paper with me. We are working on the paper now.
4) Received another request from an old friend, Dr. Jerry Heng from Imperial College, London to meet up in early March and discuss areas for research collaboration (Shameed Ashraf you must join as well ).

One of the perks of my job is meeting people from all corners of the globe. Advancements in telecommunication technology has made this even more rapid.

We are part of a global community and can really contribute and play our role on the global arena.
