Visit to Jeram Sanitary Landfill

Students of CPE675 (Wastewater Engineering) recently organized a trip to Jeram Sanitary Landfill, managed by Worldwide Landfill Sdn. Bhd., with the objective having an on-site view of daily activities occuring there-in. The students visited the wastewater treatment plant located on the premises, that has the challenging task of treating leachate channeled from the excavated cells. Hopefully this has enabled the students to better understand the principles and applications of wastewater treatment which they have learned in the classroom this semester.

River Water Quality Modeling Workshop 2009

The Water Resources Technical Division (WRTD) of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) will be organizing a hands-on workshop on QUAL2E/2K River Water Quality Modeling at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam from the 4th - 6th of May 2009.
